So you can't save the "dummy doc" as a template and then start a new
doc from the template, with the customized toolbar still there? I
haven't tested that myself yet, though I had intended to do so today.

Tried (under 2.4.1) saving *dummy* as template, and also customizing
while editing a template. Both worked uselessly: save accepted, but
customized menu never showed up again, even while editing the template,
much less in the new doc created from it. So, apparently not. /tj
I've no problem with that, using OOo3beta_m4. I have defined a new
toolbar and a new menu in the template. Documents based on that template
have got that toolbar and that menu. Perhaps you missed some step? I can
send you the test template if you like.
