Tried (under 2.4.1) saving *dummy* as template, and also customizing while editing a template. Both worked uselessly: save accepted, but customized menu never showed up again, even while editing the template, much less in the new doc created from it. So, apparently not. /tj


I've no problem with that, using OOo3beta_m4. I have defined a new toolbar and a new menu in the template. Documents based on that template have got that toolbar and that menu. Perhaps you missed some step? I can send you the test template if you like.


Thanks, Regina. That's good news! I'm just heading off on a 5 to 7 day trip, but when I get back, I'll try it myself and then add a bit to the Getting Started guide's chapter on customizing OOo.
