What I generally notice is that (at least in my perception) the User 
Guides are mainly focussed on procedural instructions (how to achieve a 
certain goal). Only very rarely they bring to mind the fact that OOo is 
a "ODF-Dokument generating and manipulating Toolset". (Don't know if 
this knowledge would be helpful or not, just wanted to share my 
impression)
