Scores are most visible things but we can not easily publish them for

not allowed -> won't publish. We have great free benchmarks (thanks to
DaCapo guys!), they will give us a good picture.
Agreed, screw SPEC, I vote on focusing on DaCapo which, IMO, provide an
even better picture of real life applications and JVM variability.

Agreed.
Do we have all necessary bugs filed against DaCapo to enable it
running? I recall 3 blockers related:
* SHA-1 (could not find in JIRA)

HARMONY-2135

* X11 (headless DRLVM) issue (could not find in JIRA)

HARMONY-2128

* jython (HARMONY-2137)
// add to this list

There's also

HARMONY-2130 DaCapo antlr fails on drlvm

which can be worked around.

traditionally: "Let's fix 'em all!"

I have also convinced myself that scimark2 is not that great of a
benchmark and tuning for it might mislead other things that are way more
important to our user base (like running tomcat or eclipse).

Agreed.
