httpd != echo, but the echo protocol module is still in there :-) And that is a reason to keep it where it is, in it's own httpd-pop3 repository. Of course it also depends what Ben meant by "retiring", but to me it almost sounded like getting rid of it rather than putting it in the httpd-2.0 repo.
