The %PRODUCTNAME is problematic in Finnish too, but for a different reason. Finnish uses inflections a lot. For example, the genetive of StarOffice is "StarOfficen", inessive is "StarOfficessa", etc. However, the inflection is different depending on if the last letter is a vowel or a consonant, and possibly different also in some other cases, so we have a conflict: StarOffice StarOfficen (+n) -> %PRODUCTNAMEn ? OpenOffice.org OpenOffice.orgin (+in) -> %PRODUCTNAMEin ? I guess it would be legal to write "OpenOffice.org:n" or "OpenOffice.org'n", but it would not be as good as "OpenOffice.orgin". In StarOffice, "StarOffice:n" or "StarOffice'n" would look somewhat strange. I believe the same problem is in many other languages too (Hungarian might be grammatically a bit similar). How have you solved this?
