Let's go for a robust solution then: I don't see any reason why we can't do the
in-situ handling for m1 without extra tags.

The reactor has a list of projects: feed that to the dependency verifier and
have it use the generated JAR instead. For simplicity:
- only handle simple types like JAR, WAR, EJB.
- need to lazily get the name so that changes to maven.build.dir and
maven.final.name in the reactored project is handled.

I don't see any reason why this would be hard to do.
