I second what Dave mentioned, these need discussed on public threads and have some visibility over it. I have also noticed people replying to this email thread. Maybe we can encourage them to involve in these plans and join them in contributing to the project. I also want to seek advice from the board as well, specifically on moving forward, since there are no 3 PMC members active to even elect a single external contributor. I would like to know the board process to reconstitute an active PMC with at least three members in cases such as this.
