Hi Michael,
My proposal for PMC to adopt analytics (open source or not) for the development
of this project, and hope to achieve the following:
1. Measure the (top X) number of visits to page paths by new visitors, and
arrange these links into a âTour / Getting Startedâ page. This allow new
visitors, faster access to a set of relevant info. Can update the content in
âTour / Getting Startedâ every x number of months. Also track and improve
the conversion rate from âTour / Getting Startedâ to the download page.
2. Monitor the organic search keywords used by users. This allows better
roadmap planning for documentation and features, taking into account what users
search for.
I can provide initial help if required, and will relinquish the analytics admin
account when done.
