Out of curiosity, I just tried on OOo 1.0.3, 2.2 and 2.4 and LO 4.0
(all Windows); all return value 1 for =0^0 . MS Word 2007, of course,
returns NaN.

For interop, there is LO 4.0 to consider as well as MS Word.
