I am a bit sceptic, "need" is a big word, we also needed the mac buildbot, we have it, but its still not operational (infra delivered it some month ago). The cent-os 5 64bit will most likely come in a couple of weeks. It will be setup with a dummy AOO user, since nobody have currently asked for access. > We do need volunteers to help with the CentOS 5 builbot setups at some > point once the VMs are established. I think the same can be said about the mac buildbot. The cent-vm was actually spinning about 6months ago, but was taken down for several reasons. > > In summary, we have some tasks to do before springing into action on the > next release. We have waited for the better part of 2 years to get the buildbot system in a better shape (see dates on jira tickets) so making that a requirement for a release seems to be a perfect excuse to continue talking. We could on the other hand, if we pulled together, bring out a windows release in a couple of weeks, with digital signing, which would help a lot of users.....and show that our project can still achieve something. This is of course only my opinion and possibly a very lonely one. rgds jan i > > > I would have loved to see some of the things come to life, and wanted to > > help.
