More preciously,

For Intel,

Mac OS X Intel by Sun (18 language versions)
3.0rc1 en-US da de es fr gl it ja ko nl pl pt-BR ru sl sv vi zh-CN zh-TW

Sun's 3.0rc1 seems not have any language packs for the rest of languages.
Will Sun provide them for the final as Sun usually does for other platforms?

Mac OS X Intel by Maho (92 language versions)
3.0rc1 (all languages recognized with an option '--with-lang=ALL' at build
process.)

I am not sure, but a file localize.sdf in the source code of OOo 3.0 seems
to have translations for 79 languages. Original English texts are defined
in a file *.src. Hence, there is a deficit. Translations for 12 (=92-79-1)
languages seem not be included in the source code of OOo 3.0.

That implies that for some binaries by Maho, binaries identified by an
abbreviation of its language name with a notation _XX might not have any
translations in it, but a fallback language, maybe English.
That does not matter here, though.

All languages except ga or mk, i.e. en-US da de es fr it ja nl pl sv vi,
which were, at least once, officially released by the corresponding community
in the era of 2.x are already covered by Sun's builds. And ga and mk would
be covered by language packs for them.

For PowerPC,

Mac OS X PowerPC by Sun (18 language versions)
 3.0rc1 not available for now

Mac OS X PowerPC by Maho (92 language versions)
3.0rc1 (all languages recognized with an option '--with-lang=ALL' at build
process.)

The situation for upcoming 3.x has been changed and/or changing from the
 era of 2.x.

Again,
How can we adapt to the new situation?

e.g. Is it better if Sun starts to provide both Intel and PowerPC versions?

And another point:
So what I would like to suggest here is to devise a way to improve
build system from a type of rely-on-one-person to done-by-a-team.

 Any idea?

Tora
