I thank Dallas Engelken for engineering this patch, it has helped. Now, we need to get the developers of SpamAssassin to know about this issue. This issue has been an issue since the days of SpamAssassin 2.64. I don't know why they didn't program in a timeout from the beginning. Every good programmer knows to code in a way to escape potential unending loops, and in this case, an unending loop is occuring.
