Guys,

as I am a Gnome user, I find this behavior annoying as well. I will dig into this and see what I can find as reasons, just give me some time :-).

Hi *,

I learned in issue 51002 that "upstream" requires/wants all expandable
elements of the filepicer to be expanded.

So please make the non-expanded view the default. Or at least explain
your reasons for this policy.

You might try to bring this up on [EMAIL PROTECTED]

No. Upstream in this case is OOo, not gnome.

If you read my mail again you'll see that the expand-all behaviour is
contrary to the gnome-policy.

Gnome applications don't show the dialog all-expanded like OOo know
does. OOo should behave like gnome apps, but in this case "upstream"
(OOo) wants it differently.

Maybe "upstream" does not see this quite that strict, or maybe
there *is* good reason?

I doubt that there is good reason, but I'm listening.

ciao
