Christian,

sorry again for the delay.

It seems, that no one really wants to be "upstream", and it also seems, that no one has ever really requested the file picker to open up (fully) expanded. And worse, it even seems, that no one ever requested the OOo build-in file picker to be the default on Gnome. At least, nobody wants to take over responsibility or knows anybody being responsible.

So, I am going to _reopen_ issue 51002, and ask Caolan to change the implementation, to match the standard Gnome behavior (http://www.gnome.org/~seth/designs/filechooser-spec/) and his spec.

Anybody with different knowledge / opinion, please comment now!

Kay

Sorry to bother you again - but can you give an update?

(expand all on gtk-fpicker is bad usability, contrary to the goal to
integrate smoothly with the desktop and very annoying as well)

ciao
Christian
