I would really go for B and C, then D and A the last option. Changing the name
now would only hurt imo..

The main difference is probably, that there isn't a well established software
vendor called jackdaw.
After all, It's not about translations, it's about trademarks.

My point stays the same:
Wayang is a Indonesian proper name, which never should be translated
To say that the world speaks English is a bold statement, at least not in
Indonesia ;)
I contacted Abby Kearns, CTO of Puppet, Inc - but no response so far
As example:
Kafka translated into English means Jackdaw, but Kafka is also a well known
Bohemian Novellist. Now Kafka is named after the Author, which is a
intellectual property in Germany (Urheberrechtsgesetz).
Therefore I vote to discuss this matter with the presidents office of the
Apache Software Foundation and come to a conclusion, whatever the outcome is.
