Hi Christian and *,

I just want to comment on the last issues you raised...

If you are concerned about "overcrowding" we could reduce the
"additional products" buttons

I'd prefer one button - approx. the size of the current buttons - maybe
instead of the seagull image two additional buttons:
* one for the OOo-Office-suite products
* one for the "developer"-products
Frankly, I LIKE the buttons to the individual products. But I can see the value of combining them all into say a "suite" icon as you suggest.

The seagull is our mascot, freedome symbol. S/he must stay in my opinion.

A quick way to access the developer products would be plus, I think.
The developer page has a HUGE amount of information which I personally find difficult to deal with.

to one additional button called "more OOo
software" but I doubt that this will be necessary. Let's first have a
look on a potential implementation before we tempt fate.

If anybody has an idea on how to graphically represent these two
categories, I'll try to make a mockup..

I thought of a desk for the Suite products-button and maybe gears or
bricks for the developer-button.
Comments?

Again, I like this idea but I am not graphically inclined. Would it be too cutesy to have seagull icons engaged in them? No good ideas from me though.

ciao
Christian
