Hi Ivan,
This was exactly what I had in mind.
Try shorten the options to only include what is behind each button, for
example,
Get extensions
Get clipart
Get templates
Get clipart
It has more action than "I'm looking..." :)
Try also removing the lines to make the buttons look a little younger,
it gives a freer touch to it. ;)
Thanks a lot, this is exactly what I had in mind when starting this thread.

Hi Per, all,
I've got a basic page up at:
http://marketing.openoffice.org/tryouts/extend/
It follows the style of the action statements on the homepage - feel
free to comment, update, etc. An alternative might be to enable a
drop-down on the homepage like we have for the download action
statement, and then let users jump on from there (however, we'd still
need a page like the one I made for those that don't have JavaScript
enabled).
Regards,
Ivan.

I would chose the Open Clip Art Library:
Open Clip Art Library
http://www.openclipart.org/
Yes, that's a great source of clipart.... but the question is, how
easy is it to download clipart from there and import it into OOo? Is
it simple enough for the average user to do? Does it involve a complex
process, and if so, is there some way we can make it easier for users?
(Sorry, I seem to be asking more questions than usual these days :) ).
That's my only concern. Otherwise, let's go for it!
And I would organize the Extend page as follows:
Get Extensions
http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/
Get Templates
http://templates.services.openoffice.org/sv
Get Clipart
http://www.openclipart.org/
It's a bit spartan - it would need some graphics (I'll scavenge
appropriate graphics from the Galaxy icon set... maybe a few
screenshots/examples) and maybe a line or two under each of these
headings (e.g. provide some examples of extensions). But other than
that, it's perfect - let's keep it short and straight to the point.
If you like to I can prepare a page like this.
That would be great! I don't have access to the main OOo website area
- do you have CVS access to the website project or the marketing
project so we can work on this together?
I haven't got the access for website, but I do for marketing. Since it
absolutely is marketing related, let's create a page under tryouts there.
