Francis, I'm not sure if I've seen your entire message, as my mail-server is putting up a phishing alert and blocking the mail, but I did see the link to the 2008 stats; I'm not sure if there was anything else in your message, so I'll just respond to that table: from a quick scan down the list (sorry I've neither the time nor the inclination to spend more than two minutes on this banality) it would appear that the highest number of contacts was somewhere around 370, and some are being marked on 22 contacts. 22 contacts is less than a day's email intake in the office in which I worked (in fact I've sent three emails to my MP since coming online 30 minutes ago, and have got one more left still to get to).
I will make one point - seeing Dennis Skinner's statistics makes me even more sceptical than I was before; having worked with a former member of staff from a neighbouring constituency to Bolsover, I am well aware of the number of complaints made by residents of Bolsover that Dennis only responds to issues which are of interest to him, and that neighbouring MP's receive many, frequent, complaints about his lack of response to their contacts. That's me out of here; I stand by my criticisms of the whole nature of the league tables produced by WriteToThem, and reiterate that in my experience they are treated with disdain by many - if not most - MP's (and perhaps the miniscule contact levels of the high responders' should emphasise to you why that is).
