Simply because it takes a total of four working days to produce the
stats, every time, two of a developer's time, two of my time, and that
time has simply had too many other demands on it.

The reason it is so slow to produce these numbers is because we have
to vet all the data manually to make sure that obscure problems
haven't lead to us being unfair on an MP - saying they were a bad
correspondent when they were actually a good one.

And yes, I know that it is an old-fashioned idea to think that we
shouldn't be unfair on MPs, but it is something we care about a lot.

If someone would like to swap with me, and spend two days on the phone
trying to interest councils in branded versions of FixMyStreet, then
I'll happily get onto these stats.

What, no takers? :)
