Hi Tom, Very interesting indeed, thanks for sharing. Here's a good quote summarising, I suspect, the views of many FOI responders on WDTK actually achieving its goals:
"A few respondents also speculated that individuals now realise just how easy it is to submit an FOI request, citing the website “WhatDoTheyKnow.com”: “It’s very easy for people to make requests to us, because all you have to do now is use WhatDoTheyKnow.com. At least [before] they’d have to type an email or write a letter to us. Now all they do is put their information in and it sends it directly to us. I don’t think that’s a bad thing, I just think that it’s made it easier and made people lazier. For example, as soon as we refuse a request from WhatDoTheyKnow.com quite often we’ll receive a request for an internal review very quickly because all they need to do is push a button to say I want this to go to internal review”. (Respondent – non-departmental public authority)" Kristina On Mon, Dec 19, 2011 at 4:55 PM, Mark Goodge <[email protected]> wrote: > On 19/12/2011 16:33, Tom Steinberg wrote: > >> Hi all, >> >> I've just been sent the following link to an important new PDF >> >> http://bit.ly/tQ90L4 >> > > I love the way it starts off by saying "Printed on paper containing 75% > recycled fibre content minimum." > > Not here it isn't :-) > > Mark > -- > Sent from my Babbage Difference Engine 2 > http://mark.goodge.co.uk > > > ______________________________**_________________ > developers-public mailing list > developers-public@lists.**mysociety.org<[email protected]> > https://secure.mysociety.org/**admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/** > developers-public<https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/developers-public> > > Unsubscribe: https://secure.mysociety.org/**admin/lists/mailman/options/** > developers-public/kristina%**40mysociety.org<https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/options/developers-public/kristina%40mysociety.org> > -- Kristina Glushkova 07 545 770 779 [email protected] Fix Before the Freeze: http://www.mysociety.org/2011/11/02/fix-before-the-freeze/
