I WAS an E-Smith partner, and the Mitel version of the agreement was NOT what I signed up for. I wouldn't sign the "new" agreement because of some of the clauses... PLUS I don't like having a contract changed on a whim.
The motivation for becoming a partner? Gordon's "Woe is us...we're so exploited" speeches. The partner "option" is NOT an option, because they WILL DEFAULT on it. So Gordon...just answer the guy's question. Spare us the speeches. And live up to your contracts with the people who DO become partners. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom Achtenberg" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'Jeff Coleman'" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "'Gordon Rowell'" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, January 24, 2002 9:16 AM Subject: RE: [e-smith-devinfo] 5.1 RC or Gold? > Jeff, I got the same treatment when I was brand new to SME and simply asked if it used Squid. Instead of saying yes I got an arrogant lecture on Mitel only giving support to registered users who pay. I didn't think my question was really a support issue but more a feature inquiry. The tone of the message really turned me off to Mitel's support department. I love their produce but they really need to work on user relations and stop alienating them. > > -----Original Message----- > From: Jeff Coleman [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, January 24, 2002 3:45 AM > To: 'Gordon Rowell' > Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [e-smith-devinfo] 5.1 RC or Gold? > > > Gordon, > > I am surprised at the tone of your messages.
