You are absolutely correct, Charlie.

You are under no obligation to tell people who are developing for your
product the status of the latest release, which will render current
development threads obsolete.

You are under no obligation to provide information, as to how a developer
should dedicate their efforts and time. Do we hold off on new ideas and
development and wait for 5.1... Or do we continue with 5.0 R&D because 5.1
is a way down the road?  How best to dedicate our time? ...It's none of our
damned business! You are under no obligation to tell us!

I see now that the spirit of the entity that was once E-Smith has been
crushed by Mitel.

These were fears discussed in the partnerinfo list when the Mitel aquisition
was unfolding. As I recall you spearheaded the position that the spirit of
e-smith will remain intact. Your position here shows that is clearly not the
case.
