I get your point, but most servers with a default install don't sit in the background eating 200 MB of ram and a share of your download/upload. A default MySQL daemon is ~20 MB of ram and zero internet usage. I don't know about Napster, but IIRC it had a tray icon serving the purpose of both informing the user of the fact that it was unning, and allowing the user to easily kill it if needed. I do understand that whether the default should be on or off is a tough decision, but shouldn't we at least warn the user about it, and provide an easy way to disable it (if enabled by default)? - Zero3
