FWIW I want to write a remote agent for my new digital mode software (still an internal beta), this agent will provide a non-compressed audio stream between the local program and remote PC.
SKYPE will compress the audio I think which isn't such a good idea, but having said that I haven't tried SKYPE with digital modes. FWIW I think the TS-480SAT / TS-2000 are the best radios for remote station use.
