That is good news... well done!
Now that we know that, we can start setting up our own price
structure. If the applicatioun is succesful - we'll immediately
have to pay for 2 years registration though, yes?
I've also been thinking about .info a bit. In the .info FAQ:
> Tucows will only be accepting submissions on a first come, first
> served basis. This will be done so that Tucows increases your

The above kind of makes sense... since we only sell one pre-app
to each client (otherwise it would be a lottery like .biz). The
downside I see of that, is that we could be rejecting the pre-app
on the grounds that someone has already applied - and yet there
is nothing stopping the customer from going to another registrar
to pre-register the same name - and possibly "win" as well.
That would make us look kind of silly.... I'm wondering if
its a good idea after all (my initial position on this a few
months ago was that this is how it should work - but I think
I've changed my mind).
I guess the real question is - will other registrars only be
accepting one pre-app per domain? If so, then I guess its more
logical... but if other registrars are going to have different
rules, then maybe we should re-consider?
Just a few thoughts...
