I dropped back to 5.1.30 and it did see the system image disk once, but failed
on disk 2. I have been trying to install from a system image set created by
Windows. I have Windows 10 available on a disk I upgraded from 7 and then put
on the shelf. But I'm not enamored of 10 at all. Especially after working on
my brother in-law's laptop.

Attempts at installing Ubuntu and CentOS both fail with a "no media" message. I
swapped out the DVD drive but no change. I don't understand that as I have
installed from both disks several times.

The behavior is also inconsistent when starting a VM. Sometimes it asks me to
select the optical disk drive and sometimes it doesn't.

I have an USB disk in NTFS format with a system image. Is something like that
mountable from a VM? Hipster does not even see the device. Many of the things
I need Windows for are USB devices for which the only drivers are for Windows.
