I'm in the "not using newegg for disks" camp as well. I bought 4 x 1.5 TB disks. 3/4 failed after I did some testing on them. Filled the drives with data. Erased. Did it again. Got to learn all about SMART stats on disks.
Replaced them (newegg paid for shipping). 3/3 failed. Sent those 3 back for a refund. I put it down to a bad batch sent to newegg, or someone dropped a pallet of disks. Boxes I recieved were wrapped ok. No damage that I saw. I changed to a large online retailer. All drives were ok from them. Craig
