Agreed! Scientific methodology should be right under "Hard working".

These six things are all I would really look for in any Jr. sysadmin.

For mid-level sysadmin I'd want to see some kind of educational progression
over the course of five years (certs, more college, shipping a side
project, etc.) while working. I want to see some kind of drive.

Sr. level staff I'd want to see what big projects they've worked on, if
they can tell me what kind of value the organization derived from their
efforts, and if they understand the direction of the industry in which they
work.
