I've been using PasswordSafe/PasswdSafe in the same way.  It's available on
all platforms, and I store the safe on Dropbox.  The Mac is supported via
"Password Gorilla" (though currently there are some gui glitches with
Mavericks that are being worked out), and there's an iOS app.

I hadn't looked at Lastpass, which also sounds like a good option.
