CatBus: You have misunderstood the whole concept of replaygain. Adjusting all tracks with the same gain will result inn the exact same volume differences between tracks as you would get with no replaygain.
Replaygain is not the same as real playback volume. It's a value that says how much the volume should be adjusted on each track to give the impression of the same volume between tracks relative to a given reference RMS level (89db) In other words, replay gain is only relative to each tracks own RMS volume and therefore it must be different from track to track with different overall volume to have any function. -- marsboer ------------------------------------------------------------------------ marsboer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18417 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30316 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
