According to the schematics the LED on the module is directly connected
to the raw 5V from the carrier board and the LED on the carrier as on
the 3.3V after the main regulator. So if the carrier board is lit and
the module is not about the only thing it can be is connector. (or a
trace on the board, but a not properly seated module is much more
likely)
