Tend to agree with an earlier poster: need to be able to hear what you are skipping for this to be useful. Currently I find that the lack of responsiveness is the biggest cause of frustration but I like being able to skip forward or backwards in a track. I agree if this is a problem on transcoded data then drop the audio for this -but then I only use FLAC & occasionally MP3!
