A deivce like the Meridian F80 high end portable stereo would be an aboslute wonderbox if fitted with the a Squeezebox chip. I have the F80 and it is a pain to have to attach a Squeezebox via the digital out and use two remotes to control it. Which brings up a new idea, how about a reference design for a Squeezebox chip, which manufacturers can license and fit into their hardware to become Squeezebox enabled. Logitech/Slim has the potential of making the SB chip the Microsoft Windows of media enabled boxes, and Slimserver the Windows Server of media server. -- agentsmith System 1: SB2, Pioneer DV-S733A, Benchmark DAC1, Naim Nait 2 (Sold 5i), Naim Ariva.
