Not at all. You are now objecting to something other than what I originally 
proposed. It would be the opposite for the reasons you say and more. 

The point is to provide a mechanism to facilitate a reply to the original 
author when desired (reply-to is problematic since it's rather unconditional).  
There is no need to display it.  To do so would be contradictory and confusing.
