Roman, check this out. I remember talking to you about this once upon a
time where array hydration on my system would get slower and slower the
more records it processes and would eventually become slower than record
hydration. You ran the same tests on your system and it did not behave the
same. After playing around with some code changes to eliminate the call to
is_array() without breaking any tests I did some benchmarks and it
eliminates the problem on my system. The hydration goes from over a minute
to under 2 seconds.
