I think that you may have been listening to too many rumors. :)

CCS, IMO, is for from absurdity depending on your reference point for
absurd mentioned at the end of the paragraph. Assuming that you have
php applications runing under apache/php5 you are more than likely
ready to go. You will just have to download and install zend unless
you are already using it. That also on a freebsd box, installs
quickly. The CCS down load, unpacking, running the install script and
setting up Apache, much less than half an hour. That is so fast and
simple that I suppose that you could call it absurd. ;) Basically you
can say that it runs right out of the box. Maybe you should give it a
test drive before you answer.

The only non-standard requirement for me is zend, that I and others on
the list or not fond of. Basically, just confirm that your server more
or less meets the requirements, there are some extra requirements that
aren't being used as far as I can tell. Un pack the application, run
the install script, point your browser at projects/ccs/index.php and
rock on. It will work. I would suggest that you start with basic
domains so if you have problems they will be easier to correct. It is
so fast and easy that you can reinstall in minutes.

The interface is so simple that I have spent most of the day trying to
make it complex. That is life;)

Just thank goodnes that it is in php and seems solid, although I'm not
ready to put it into production, without a lot of testing and some code
and css clean up. BTW, Zeljko, I'm sure you guys must have development
and css documentation, coding standards, etc. Do we have access to
them?

Disclaimer: This doesn't mean that I don't have some issues that I
will be working out, shortly, I will continue to try and get OpenSRS
to release the full source, which they may have already done. Las
weekend there were still some things that wouldn't work without zend.
Very positive point that you haven't referenced is that Joey has
already started asking about a bug tracking system with a search
capability.

I would like to see availability of cvs access and a pair of mailing
lists, one for all cvs modifications and the other for us to
participate with OpenSRS in making this a better product. With cvs we
can easily send our proposed modifications as cvs diff patches to the
list for the OpenSRS development team to integrate to the HEAD code if
they agree, just like in any other opensource project. I feel like it
would be advantagous for all of us to participate as much as we can.
Many ways: Code, themes, documentation, howto's etc. as well as helping
newer users on the list.

My suggestion for you is, as I said before, relax - install CCS -
configure, run it and enjoy testing in the horizon environment. Then
let's try to help make it even better.

P.S. ccs, css and cvs in the same mail and at my age. Hope there are
no errors.
