I run a lot of php programs and tested more that I needed to before upgrading a few months ago but it really wasn't a problem and we will all probably have to do it fairly soon. This reminds me of the php3 to php4 change and I found it less difficult, of course YMMV. It is more a question of when you can take the time to do it. Zend, I have to agree with. It isn't a problem to run but it does cause me some pear upgrading issues, that I haven't had time to look it. For now I just disable zend, upgrade the pear packages, and re-enable zend.
