Fred, Use the spray can with caution, as some of us have learned the hard way. It WILL swell phenolic switch wafers and break the switch when turned. I spray the DeOxit into a can lid, then apply sparingly with a cotton swab, toothpick, etc. depending on the size of the area you need to reach since my experience. I haven't used it on controls, instead I prefer the Pro Gold, also from Caig. 73, Don, WB5HAK ----- Original Message ----- From: KC4SUE - Fred To: drakelist@zerobeat.net Sent: Friday, October 30, 2009 2:12 AM Subject: [Drakelist] De-Ox
I found a really great price on 5 oz spray can of D5 Caig Laboratories DeoxIT. With free shipping. At www.Sweetwater.com Great for cleaning controls and rotor switches in the Drake line or most electronic devices. After use be sure to wait over night before powering up.
