Fred,
Use the spray can with caution, as some of us have learned the hard way.  It 
WILL swell phenolic switch wafers and break the switch when turned.  I spray 
the DeOxit into a can lid, then apply sparingly with a cotton swab, toothpick, 
etc. depending on the size of the area you need to reach since my experience.  
I haven't used it on controls, instead I prefer the Pro Gold, also from Caig.
