Washing seems to work well with more modern gear, but with the classics, water gets trapped in IF and RF cans, non potted trannies and other places. Baking helps but one can never be totally sure that everything is really dry. I'll stay with paint brushes, Q-tips, tape head cleaners and like methods. Slower, but safer. Also, it gives you time to look for other possible problems. 73, John, W4AWM
