Lee -

Easiest is to remove the PTO/dial as a unit.

There are three spade bolts on the bottom of the PTO gearbox, 6-32 1/4" hex nuts. There are three wires that go into the bottom of the PTO. Best to just cut these close to the terminal rather than try to unsolder them. The insulation is 'extremely' heat sensitive. Note carefully where each one goes. There is a Red or Wht/Red for the +11 VDC, a Blk or Wht/Blk ground, and a Grn or Wht/Grn RF Output. Remove the light shield and lamp holder. Then lift the entire unit out, tipping back to clear the front panel.

That said, you probably won't be able to clean off the discoloration, it is a yellowing of the plastic caused by exposure to sunlight. It's usually in the shape and location of the viewing window........

When replacing the PTO, be sure the lamp holder terminals are NOT shorted together. They WILL rotate and can touch each other or ground. Not good!

Hi Gang....
I have a B line here that I recently got at Dayton.
The dials have a slight discoloration in one area around the dial.

What is the easiest way to get the PTO out so I can carefully clean these with mild
soap & water?
Thank,
