The way I saw it was that the 'personas' thing would basically just be
a way of uniting names so you could post to any of them, and so they
would basically appear in your "Work as user" dropdowns. As I see it,
you'd be able to customise any of these anyway, even if it was a
persona.

Right, and I think personas would be pretty useless if they didn't
offer the ability to customise at least that. ;) See above.
