Mozilla does track the number of downloads per week of add-ons
A quick and dirty look-see using their search function,

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=livejournal&cat=all

would suggest that LJ add-ons might be worth taking a look at. From my own
experience it has some neat ideas for functionality, although the UI is a
bit klunky being mostly menu driven. But it's pretty fully featured...

Although, it might be a good idea to make sure DW works with Deepest
sender, since that's the most common client I've heard of.
