Actually, here's what I did:

I installed 6.03 with all the defaults. Copied my license key from 602 to
603 directory. Went into Save directory and grabbed everything, but didn't
allow any old files to overwrite in 603 save directory (hence my 'new'
preferences). I then started to re-do preferences and noticed that the
default QSO was set to 30m SSB.

Rick, did you transfer your preferences from the old version to the new one?

If not, this may be due to the addition of the 60 meter band.  Perhaps a 
band counter is off-by-one.

Mine comes up 20 meters as expected.
