OK, I'm still confused.

Let's say today I set all my Upload flags to Y, do the export and upload the
logs to ARRL LoTW.

What do I do the next time? I don't want to set ALL the flags again, just the
QSOs since the last upload. Do I search for Upload=N and then use that filter
to set all the Upload flags to Y (via Multiple QSO operations)? You can't,
that isn't even a supported operation! This seems more confusing than it has
to be.

I would have implemented it differently:

1. Export to LoTW checks for QSOs where Upl=N.
2. It writes the LoTW ADIF file, sets Upl=Y and sets date.
3. Next time, start at #1 again.

I guess the reason it is done the way it is is so that you can export your log
"piecemeal" if you have operated from different QTHs. However, it seems to put
an extra burden on people who just want to refresh the ARRL LoTW data every now
and then.

It would also be nice if adding a new QSO could set the upload flag = Y
automatically.

Anyone else have thoughts?

Subject: [Dx4win] LOTW, why the big issue? {Scanned}

I really do not see what the big issue with LOTW is, even with version 6.02.
You export your log using filters to an ADIF file, sign it with TQSL, and
upload it. I really do not see what is so difficult with the old process
and it accomplishes the task.
