Thanks for the quick response and explanation. He told me he was at the Vostok Russian Antartica Station at Lat 78 South & Long 107 East. I looked on my Radio Amateur World Atlas and can see where he is. Perhaps he should have used /R1 as his stroke designator.
I just tried this and DXbase now sets the WPX to R1 and says that he is in Russia.
