Crud. I was afraid it would be something like that. It's what I get for
editing ld.so.conf myself without knowing thing #0 about C.

Yes, and yes; im_palette.pal is a long list of what look like hex numbers in
groups of three, and imrc is a whole bunch of comments and config lines that
I don't understand. I have not edited anything in that file myself --
should I? [remember what I did to ld.so.conf before you answer. . . ]
Looking through imrc, I don't see anything that seems to pertain directly to
understanding file types, but once again I obviously don't know what I'm
doing.
