Outsourcing is an economic decision.  Employers want to get the most value for 
their money.  If US labour is too expensive or not available, then employers 
will look elsewhere.
The fact that unemployment is low, means that there are not a lot of local 
workers. 

In addition, the tech industry is constantly changing.  For every EDI job lost, 
there is probably another GS1 job gained.

We can help by posting EDI jobs on the list.  People looking for jobs can 
always do a search for the <JOBS> tag.

Unfortunately, my job as a software developer, is to reduce the number of EDI 
jobs by making the process cheaper & more efficient for my clients.
