Hi,
Let's see. Both Ian and I are really busy but...

I'm glad for you and for INGOT!
But this list is not really a venue for discussions (or news) of your

No, but since his company is doing the most for OOo in schools in
the UK
than anyone else here then I think it is a perfect venue. Other
people have
posted on the marketing list about their projects which are not
from OOo,
but do benefit it and I haven't seen you respond like this. The

I am posting here is to respond to say that I hope that you
wouldn't respond

INGOTs is the best chance OOo has in getting OOo into the UK
schools. Maybe
it would be best to work with them and not against them. In the
mainstream
business world this would be called a partnership. It happens all the
time. No need to alienate OOo from everybody.
No, it's not the perfect venue. If you want to publicize what Ingot
is doing to other Ingot employees or associates, then please use your
own lists, not OOo's.
As to venues.... There are many companies and organizations that are
doing good work for OOo and we are happy to give them notice--in the
right venue, such as the new wiki on Solutions:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/mwiki/index.php?
title=OpenOffice.org_Solutions
We can also publish news of Ingot's successes in the newsletter. That
gets, fwiw, a lot of publicity.
The point is to leave lists like this open to all.
This is not a question of being closed minded, Adam, as you surely
know. It is a question of keeping this list impartial and open to all
involved in furthering OOo in schools throughout the world. I'm sure
you understand that, too.
Best,
Louis
