Shortly after the K3 appeared on the scene three years ago, those of us who had gotten used to (and enamored of) the APF in the FT-1000D lobbied for such a circuit in the K3. As I understand it, the Yaesu SCAF circuit was studied, but nothing ever came of it. Software-defined radios are radically different from analog ones, as we all know.
